Two marble chunks from boards for the game of ludus latrunculorum, or robbers for short, in the Rutupiae museum mentioned in the previous post. Possibly once marble from the triumphal arch.
According to wikipedia, a game of skill for two, something akin to chess or draughts. Oddly, although said to be a very popular game with the Romans, we are not sure what the rules were, with various chess & other eminences coming to slightly different conclusions. My own conclusion was that it all sounded more like the Japanese game of go than the Indian game of chess.
