A clip turned up by google while continuing to ponder about Brain Thomson this morning. From 'National Service: A Generation in Uniform 1945-1963' by Richard Vinen. Which makes it rather look as if he ought to have known some of the truth then and ought not to be too
blasé about the business now. Maybe through no fault of his own, but he is tainted, rather in the way that a Vietnam veteran is.
