Haircuts

From time to time I moan about tree haircuts. The tree of this snap, on Clay Hill Green, was given a haircut a few months ago and is now demonstrating the resilience of the willow under such treatment.

See gmaps 51.334816, -0.277250. With a bit of fiddling you can get a streetview snap of the tree in question before the haircut.

Presumably the haircut was the result of one of the houses behind complaining about the light. And since at least one of the candidate complaining houses was almost certainly there before this fast growing tree, perhaps it had the right. Although a right reduced by the fact that the present owner was probably not the original owner. May not even have been born when the tree was planted.

Pity about the car but I could not be bothered to ask the owner to move it.
