Albert

For anyone curious, following the post of 13th March, about what a fat albert looks like, I post a picture of one, lifted from http://www.raf.mod.uk/equipment/ - where there are, in addition, some helpful notes about recognition, a bit like those you get in bird books, which is not unreasonable given that plane spotters are a fully recognised variety of tweeters and remembering that incredulous aboriginals used to mistake aeroplanes for birds.

Not that one should need much help; a very distinctive aeroplane, nothing else that I know quite like it, not in our airspace anyway. Maybe different in places like Syria where you get all comers.

PS: pity about the careless cropping of the otherwise decent picture. Clearly not very arty in the publicity department of the RAF.
