Balfour Beatty

Balfour Beatty must have to got to hear about the rich pickings to be had from the cycle lobby at Epsom, and are now digging a large hole more or less on the spot on West Hill from where I reported an infestation of cycle poles (see reference 1).

They didn't even have the good manners to wait until someone had cycled on the new cycle track before coming in with their fine new hole, complete with a natty little roof to stop the workers getting wet.

Is it as deep as the hole outside Sainsbury's? It must be a reasonably good hole for them to have bothered with such serious shoring. See reference 2.
