Litter, aerial and otherwise

A Horton (clockwise) today, on which I clocked this assembly of aerial litter on the perimeter of Hook Road Arena. A shame that it is so cheap and easy to print these sort of banners: a small & decent noticeboard would be best, but failing that a proper advertising hoarding would be better than this mess.

Home to attend to the leafy litter which has been accumulating on the new daffodil bed, a task made easier by it just having had its autumn cut. Ground now wet enough for there to be a fair bit of worm action, but they are not going to clear all the leaves, so clearing the leaves up it is. One only has to take a look at Clay Hill Green at the end of the winter to see how much damage the leaves can do to grass - especially there where the combination of the wind and the lie of the land seem to result in long ribbons of dead leaves settling down for the winter.
