Spotted

Foil wrapper now removed and product sampled. Very nice too.

The only puzzle is that the green spot seems to have been blotched a bit, while I remember the spot as being a clean green disc, without fuzzing at the edges. But perhaps getting close enough to the bottle to see the fuzzing is one of the many benefits of owning your own. Furthermore, the label as a whole seems to have had a bit of a makeover; perhaps this is one of those product variants produced especially for export markets, comparable with the strange bottled beers that used to appear on cross channel ferries. Strange fags too I'm told: look like the real thing but don't taste like the real thing.

I have also learned that proper drinkers don't talk about anything so cheap as single malts in the other island. They talk about single pots.

Furthermore, this particular one comes with all of nose, taste and finish. Apple, barley, spice and toast all seem to be important in these contexts. But nothing about it being the perfect accompaniment to pork dishes, chicken dishes, vegetarian dishes and Asian food generally.

PS: hopefully, I can put the fact that the bottle is not parallel with the door jamb down to the telephone.
