Spring miscellany (2)

Came across this pretty clump of flowers under a hedge somewhere in Ewell Village this morning.

First decision was that, despite the superficial similarity, it is not the same as the clump of flowers reported from Horton Lane on 23rd February.

Second decision was that it was the same plant as that reported, but not illustrated, in Tweetree-2 on 23rd April, that is to say, shamrock. It had never occurred to me that shamrock had flowers, never mind that they were lilac in colour.
