I had a hot tip yesterday for something called BT SmartTalk. Make calls more or less free both from and to everywhere!
So up bright and early this morning. Connect the mobile to the home wifi and off I go, to get completely lost in a maze of instructions of the form 'you can't do X(n) because you haven't done X(n+1)' where n just seems to get larger and larger. All this on a screen about 2 inches by 3. Defeated the eyes as well as the brain.
I am reminded of the casinos in Las Vegas which seem to be designed to suck you deeper and deeper in with no way out and I suspect the whole thing is designed to get my credit card connected to a shop which they hope I will use with at least the frequency that I use Amazon from my proper computer. In their defense, I suppose Google do have to get the dosh to fund all their fine free services from somewhere.
For the moment retired hurt. Maybe I will have another go another day.
