Stop press

I have just read that the bacteria living inside the average human body weigh about twice as much as the average human brain, Furthermore, these bacteria are able to converse with the nervous system, in particular with the all-important vagus nerve, and seem to be involved with various psychiatric disorders. On the other hand, absence of bacteria is not so hot either.

Maybe all those strange folk who get into Holland & Barrett to buy strange pro-biotic potions are onto something after all.
