A red letter day, that is to say, after a long absence, cooking dates have reappeared in the Epsom Waitrose. More a less a bags version of the Whitworths' blocks we used to buy for next to nothing. Bags were on trogoff today, so they worked out at just about £1 for 250g, no stones.
