I noticed the appearance of some rather unpleasant public art on the end of Ilfracombe pier on 30th August 2012 in the other place, and on various occasions since then.
I read now that Ilfracombe has been on the receiving end of some rather large waves, not as large as those at Porthcawl, but large nevertheless. God willing, the public art will be knocked over, quietly consigned to landfill and we will be able to visit the otherwise pleasant resort again.
