Today's DT claims that Putin is sending more troops to Syria to help prop up the regime there.
While I have been wondering why he does not trump the decadent & soft & threatening Europeans (he remains very touchy about encirclement on his western frontier), by offering to take in 1,000,000 Syrians every year for the time being.
He has plenty of space. Plenty of expertise in building camps and such like things on the far side of the Urals. Probably got a declining birth rate like so many of the rest of us. So it would be one in the eye for the west and win-win all around. A beacon of hope for socialism at work. Something for the rest of the world, particularly the developing world, to look up to.
