Derelict 1

Rather surprised this morning by this derelict old peoples' home on the edge of our so desirable estate. Overgrown pond on the left. Now, it seems, the property of the Rosebery Housing Association, whose website explains that they want to redevelop the site, known as West Hill Court, but are in negotiation with the council about development restrictions. Which, I believe, has been the situation for some years.

I am not impressed that they and the council cannot come to some better arrangement than letting this not very old building go to rack and ruin.
