Serious snooping

I noticed serious spending on the railway network (is it a coincidence it is sort of back in public hands?) on at least the 24th October and the 13th November.

Then the other day I came across two very serious new posts at the Ashstead end of the up platform at Epsom, all part of the work to extend the platforms. Two serious new posts whose only purpose appears to be to support a CCTV camera, with the serious new posts being far more serious than the posts which support the CCTV cameras which were already - and remain - in place.

The concrete plinths to which the posts have been bolted are similarly serious, being embedded deeply in the fabric of the platforms. No half measures when it comes to snooping, even when the primary purpose is to deter common or garden hooliganism rather than terrorism or drug dealing. New posts for Mayfair say I!
