Water?

From time to time I moan about the failure to water newly planted trees on council territory.

So I was interested to see the instant garden which has been planted, in the heat of the summer, as the refurbishment of an office block on the north eastern side of East Street comes to an end. Or rather, I think, a conversion to residential use. Will the occupiers of this building on private territory bother to water all the plants? Will the fleshy green plants in the middle of the snap left, which I imagine like plenty of water, make it?

We shall wait and watch with interest.

  1. As it turns out, the weather has been warm and damp rather than hot and dry, and the new plants are mostly doing pretty well. It is just the new young birch tree. not visible in the snap. which is a little brown around the edges, but perhaps one has to allow for a bit of that when planting a tree-in-a-bag.
