Whippingham 3

You can't see the plant very well in this snap, but it caught my eye because of all the brown dust on the jumping off point of the main stem. There were a number of the plants around and they all seemed to have the same dust. Not clear whether the dust was normal & desirable or not.

At a guess, something vaguely sub-tropical.
