Memorial 1

We hope that the Crary family will not mind too much our making a souvenir of their memorial, which we came across in a cemetery on the outskirts of Tupper Lake. Very suitably quiet, calm and autumnal on the day of our visit. Lots of trees.

We come across this compass mark quite a lot. Possibly something veteran but not sure.

Most of the memorials were sober, solid and substantial, like this one. Presumably our style of memorial, often with angels and suchlike, would not stand the climate.
