Part of the Evening Standard's take on the affaire Putin was the presentation of a numbered copy of an art work produced on an iPad to each of the world leaders attending the NATO summit at Celtic Manor, by way of a souvenir.
Not exactly my thing and I would have expected something rather better, while according to the Evening Standard, the gifts symbolise the United Kingdom's pre-eminence in the world of art and technology. Perhaps the presentation copies look better than this one.
But it would be fun to know where all these presentation copies were in, say, ten years time. I believe that some of these leaders have special museums built to house their take of such things during their terms in office, mausoleums for them and their stuff.
I have not investigated the room rates at http://www.celtic-manor.com/.
