Chasing the proton

I do not know whether chasing the proton on behalf of a very sick child is a good idea and it may well be that it is not appropriate for the hard-pressed taxpayer to pay, but to be pursuing extradition of the parents from Spain when their child is tucked up in hospital there seems dreadfully heavy handed. What on earth is going on? Is there no room for a bit of compassion & common sense? Has the DT got it all wrong again?
